The Tulsyan Conglomerate began humbly in 1949. My grandfather, Late Mr. G.L. Tulsyan, started by selling mud dolls on the streets of Calcutta. Through hard work and persistence, he founded the Tulsyan Group. My father, Mr. S.M. Tulsyan, moved to Bangalore and pioneered the manufacturing of India's first steel bucket, a significant achievement that earned him the President’s Award.
The Growth of Vijayaa Steels
In 1972, my father led Tulsyan Udyog to become the largest dealer of TATA products in South India. In 1991, he took over several struggling units in Bangalore and Chennai, transforming them into profitable ventures. He managed Vijayaa Steels Ltd. in Bangalore, while his younger brothers oversaw Tulsyan NEC Ltd. in Chennai.

My father's legacy is not only in the awards he received or the innovations he brought to the steel industry, but also in the values he instilled in those who worked with him. His commitment to quality, integrity, and perseverance continues to inspire us all.
As his son, I am profoundly grateful for the guidance, wisdom, and inspiration my father provided. His life and work have left an indelible mark on our family and the industry.
